Patient satisfaction following short segment fusion with posterior instrumentation in thoracolumbar fractures

Background: This retrospective study assesses patient satisfaction following short-segment fusion with posterior instrumentation in thoracolumbar fractures. A total of 100 patients were enrolled the study, which was conducted Department Orthopedic KTH Hospital Peshawar from January 2020 to 2021. The followed up at 6 weeks, 3 months and post-operatively. score assessed using a visual analog scale (VAS) divided into four categories: very satisfied, dissatisfied dissatisfied. results showed that 81% satisfied 19% procedure. mean VAS 8.58 ± 0.67. No significant differences found scores between male female (p=0.731). provides valuable insight effectiveness short segment treatment fractures highlights importance post-operative follow-up determining satisfaction.
